Very welcome to the 17th edition of the Scandinavian Fishing Masters.
Many of you have been with us since we started in 1995, and most of the partecipants are regular visitors . This, combined with the unique fishing of the river Sege and the river Lödde can offer , are the main reasons for us to keep organizing this festival.
The festival will be fished as per the "old" format as requested by all the partecipants last year.
This means over 4 days , from tuesday the 26th of until friday the 29th of April .
The popular Milo Classic will be a mini festival over 2 days, the 23rd and 24th, in the river Sege.
We are happy to inform you that we have been able to keep all the cost for the entry fee, hotel etc. the same as in 2010.
And this though we have moded to a to a new, top quality hotel !!!
After several years´in the village of Eslöv we have decided to move to a a new hotel, the Scandic Star in in Lund.
Lund is a very nice little town and the Scandic Star (www.scandichotels.se ) do offer several facilities: all rooms are mini suites with good space for tackles, there is a pool, a sauna, a relaxing room (...) We will also be closer to the rivers of Sege and Lödde.
Last but not least the bar will be open until late...
Fantastic Fishing
The competitions takes place in the now famous rivers Lödde and Sege, which are found in the Malmö area, in the south of Sweden.
The rivers are at this time of the year usually full with fish moving up the rivers to spawn. This is why the fishing is some of the best available in Europe, and on a very good day you need 70-100 kg to win your section. The recordfor the river Sege is almost 125kg (in 4 hours!) and 85kg for the river Lödde.
The fish generally run big, with most roach around 200-500g, bream 1,5-3 kg while the ide turn up in any size from under 100g to 2 kg.
International competition
We are proud to have had anglers from well over 20 different nations during the years.
Several are competing on world-championship level but far from all.
Most participants have enjoyed memorable days of fishing and many have experienced the best fishing in their lifetime.
